Publishing and delivery status
Understand the difference between approval, delivery and verified publication.
Connect your website during onboarding or from the platform's integration controls. Then select the destination in Plan → Schedule and publishing.
Pick the destination and mode
Use Draft to save content into your CMS for another review. Use Publish when eligible articles should become live. Review-first and autopilot determine approval behavior; draft/live determines the action at the destination.
A saved connection is not proof that it still works. Test it, especially after changing credentials, permissions or your website.
Approval belongs to a version
Approval applies to an exact article revision under the current publishing policy. Changing the article, destination, schedule or policy can invalidate earlier approval.
A queued send is not a published page. Check the final receipt and destination URL.
Read the delivery status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Sending | A delivery request is in progress |
| Checking delivery | The outcome is uncertain and needs reconciliation |
| Received, awaiting confirmation | A receiver accepted the request; final publication is not yet verified |
| Saved on website as draft | The CMS confirmed a draft |
| Publication verified | The destination and available content checks confirmed publication |
| Connection needs attention | The destination rejected the request or needs correction |
| Returned to review | Delivery stopped and the article is back for review |
Avoid duplicate sends
If a delivery is unconfirmed, do not assume it failed. Inspect the destination and the saved operation. The system avoids blindly resubmitting a request that may already have created a post.
For webhook integrations, your receiver should deduplicate by operation ID and report the final outcome. An HTTP success response alone does not prove a live page exists.
After publication
Eligible articles can receive follow-up measurements when usable evidence is available. Publication does not prove Google has indexed the page or an AI system has cited it.
Archiving a Plan item or disconnecting a destination does not remove existing live pages.
