Connect Shopify
Send articles to a selected blog in your store.
The current connection accepts a store domain and an Admin API access token, then lets you choose the blog that should receive articles.
Prepare the store
Use the store's myshopify.com domain. Ensure the store has a blog available before connecting. You need permission to install or configure an app with access to blog content.
Shopify's app setup screens can vary by account and app type. Use its current Admin API app workflow to obtain a token authorized for the store, with the content permissions required to read blogs and write articles.
Verify and select a blog
- Open Shopify in the publishing integrations.
- Enter the store domain and Admin API access token.
- Verify the connection to load available blogs.
- Choose the intended blog and save the connection.
If no blogs are returned, confirm the store has a blog and the token belongs to the correct store with the necessary content access.
Configure the plan
Select this Shopify connection in Plan → Schedule and publishing. Start in Draft mode and inspect a test article in Shopify before selecting live publishing.
Changing the selected blog is a destination change. Review future publishing settings and approvals after changing it.
Formatting and delivery
outwrite.ai sends article HTML. Your storefront theme controls how that content is presented. Check tables, heading spacing and links on the actual theme.
A delivery receipt should identify the remote article or its final state. An uncertain response is not permission to create the same article again.
Token changes
Tokens may stop working when an app is removed, access changes or credentials expire. Update the connection and verify it again. Do not paste tokens into Ask or support chat.
For a publishing workflow that needs different authentication or transformations, use a custom webhook.
