Guides

    Create content worth citing

Clear answers and credible evidence, without a promise of guaranteed visibility.

Good AEO starts with a useful answer to a real buyer need. Formatting helps people and systems understand a page, but it cannot replace substance.

    Answer the decision directly

Open with a clear answer or a useful way to choose. Give the reader the criteria, tradeoffs and next steps that matter for the specific problem.

A comparison should explain who each option fits and what the evidence does not establish. A how-to should help someone complete a task, not just define the category.

Add evidence you can stand behind

Use primary sources for product capabilities, prices and published research where possible. Attribute vendor claims. Label hypothetical examples and avoid implying firsthand testing that did not happen.

Original customer evidence, clear methodology and specific expertise can make a page more useful. Invented statistics or generic filler do the opposite.

    Make the structure readable

Use descriptive headings, real lists and tables when they help compare information. Keep citations near the claims they support. Add relevant internal links rather than inserting links solely to hit a quota.

A short, precise answer can be more useful than a longer article. Choose length based on the work the page needs to do.

    Keep the page accessible

A published article needs to be accessible on your site. Check canonical behavior, accidental noindex settings and crawler restrictions using the tools available for your website.

Publication verification does not prove indexing. Indexing does not guarantee an AI citation.

    Measure what actually happened

Use saved AI answer evidence and organic-search data to see whether visibility changed. Keep comparisons consistent and allow for variation between observations.

outwrite.ai helps research, publish and learn from evidence. No tool can guarantee that every AI system will recommend a brand or cite a particular page.
